Nigel Abbey Design Consultants was formed in March
1987.
We are a small and friendly company offering a
complete professional design consultancy service. Our work includes
conceptual
design, corporate identity, literature design, signage and
wayfinding consultancy, exhibition display, website design and
Interiors.
We offer a highly professional and creative design
consultancy service to all areas of business in the private and
public
sectors. We have a combined experience of over 30 years in
the design
and marketing industries.
Our clients include both blue chip
companies and smaller organisations. We are experienced at
working in collaboration
with marketing
communications departments of larger companies.We also
work with smaller companies or individuals who may need more
assistance in formulating the brief and out-sourcing of various
creative
services.
Previously based in Wimbledon for
19 years, the design consultancy is now located in Thames Ditton,
near
Kingston
upon Thames, Greater London, England, UK.
Our philosophy
is to solve
design problems as creatively and as professionally
as possible. This always begins with the design brief - If this
is not
sound then the design solution may prove to be weak.
We endeavour to keep our ideas simple, uncluttered and direct.
Ultimately
we
strive to satisfy our clients' need to promote a product,
service
or concept.
Nigel Abbey graduated with a first
class honours degree in Graphic Design from Hornsey College of
Art in
1972, where he was a pupil of Bob Gill, iconic graphic
designer of the 1960s and founder of Fletcher/Forbes/Gill (Forerunner
of Pentagram in London). Nigel has worked in both in-house design
departments and design consultancies.
Prior
to
forming
his own
consultancy
in
1987
he was creative director of an international design group
Frazer/Abbey/Story (Formerly Frazer/Cumming/Story). Full
